IBSC swimmers worked hard for SportExcel Leg 2

The SportExcel Junior Swimming Circuit offered opportunities for the young learners to test themselves out in the water and recently Leg 1 of the circuit was organised by Malacca Amateur Swimming Association at Hang Jebat Aquatic Stadium on 9-10 May, 2015. Meanwhile, Leg 2 was hosted by Selangor Amateur Swimming Association at Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre, Shah Alam just last week on 13-14 June, 2015.

Team IBSC registered only 66 swimmers for the away meet in Melaka as most kids were either having exam fever or some other events have collided with the meet. However, registration for Leg 2 swelled to 120 swimmers as it's nearer to home.

Overall, IBSC swimmers did fairly well for both legs considering the huge gap left by the over-aged swimmers. It is evident that the younger group still need more time to be developed and groomed to realise their full potential. Consistent with these expectations, IBSC was runner-up in both Legs.

Swimmers have swam hard to earn points and the spirit of togetherness both from the swimmers and parents in this game ought to be praised as the whole team gave their best shot. Points earned, no matter how little, added up the total sum, thanks to the achievers below.

The top 24 swimmers for each event who have garnered the most points shall advance to Grand Final which is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 15-16 Aug, 2015.

The Committee would like to thank the accompanying coaches, Coach Noel, Coach Shazali, Coach Kamarudin and Coach Hisham for guiding the swimmers. Appreciation also goes to Mr Vincent Low being a dedicated Team Manager, and chaperones Ms Feris Lew and Mrs Irene Ng for taking care of the welfare of the entire team. Good job to all!
