The PRAKL Swimming Championship 2014 last weekend has seen better timings being achieved by swimmers from the KL affiliates with 25 new meet records being broken, 18 of which were smashed by IBSC swimmers. This year, the PRAKL has attracted more than 500 swimmers compared to few years ago with some new clubs joining the league.

Desmond Ng did impressively well in his 100m breaststroke when he broke the first meet record with a new time of 1:07.75s.

The race was more intensely cheered in the relay events, where we saw many swimmers representing their own schools or clubs. With strong individual swimmers, needless to say the IBSC relay teams were even stronger in unity. The club won 14 out of 20 gold in the relays for 5 age groups.

Team IBSC won the following relays :-

Great compliments to all the IBSC swimmers who have improved their PBs and congratulations to those who have booked their lanes in NAG 2014.

IBSC would also like to thank all the IBSC and PRAKL coaches for the excellent coaching job. The meet was a successful one with neat efforts volunteered by many parents as PRAKL working committees, Team Managers, Chaperones and also the IB Support Team as lead supporters.
