Zi Syuen made her first appearance in 41st SEAG 2017 with a bronze in 100m breaststroke

Ng Zi Syuen, 12, did her coach and parents proud in her first outing to the SEA Age Group Swimming Championship 2017 as she clinched a bronze in 100m breaststroke in Brunei by clocking her new personal best of 1:17.50. Thailand and Singapore swimmers claimed gold and silver respectively.





Meanwhile, Steve continued to chase his medals in the 200m back event and finally settled for another bronze with a time of 2:09.14. The gold went to Vietnam and silver was won by Indonesia.






The competition was stiff and Malaysian swimmers who managed to stand on the podium for day 2 were :

Darren Liew , 2 Gold, U13 boys 50 fly & 200 back
Low Zheng Yong,  Silver, 14-15 boys 400IM
Asmalia Redsuan, Bronze, 16-18 girls 200 free
Ong Yong Qi, Bronze, 14-15 girls 400IM
Goh Chia Tong, Bronze, 14-15 girls 200 back

The final day of the competition continues tomorrow at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Brunei.
