IBSC junior swimmers making splash at Sport Excel Junior Swimming Circuit, Leg 1 2022

 

IBSC sent a total of 55 junior swimmers to the recent Sport Excel Junior Swimming Circuit, Leg 1, held in Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan (12th-13th March) with swimmers coming from all over nationwide.

Despite many of our senior swimmers pulled out last minute due to the recent spike of cases, our junior swimmers still make a splash at the pool, bringing home 3 Gold medals, 5 Silver medals and 3 Bronze medals.

Achievers with their coaches - Coach Shazali & Coach Daniel Bego. Also together is MSWP official, Ms Maryam. 

The podium achievers are Gabriel Kwong Joe Xian (Group 4) with 2 Gold medals in his 50m and 100m Butterfly event, and also a Silver medal in his 100m Freestyle. David Lee Boon Wei (Group 2) bagged 1 Gold in 100m Backstroke and a Bronze in 50m Backstroke. Group 3 Adam Malik Azizur Riza and Isabelle Chiyi Buckley won 2 silver medals in their pet events - 50m & 100m Breaststroke. Hannah Meagan Riseley and Damien Seth Lim bagged 1 bronze each in 50m Breaststroke and 50m Freestyle respectively. Well done !! 

On top of this, a total of 23 IBSC swimmers (15 boys and 8 girls) managed to secured top 24th placing. 

Well done to all IBSC swimmers!! We are so proud of you. Let’s continue to gear up for 2nd leg which will be held in June 2022. See you all in Melaka :)
