Held in Hassanal Bolkiah National Swimming Complex, Brunei the pool is an outdoor pool. The competition was subjected to bad weather on the second day where the meet has to be grounded to a halt for a good 45 minutes when thunder storm struck. Some did welcome the wet weather as it provided a much needed break from the blistering hot sun.
Despite having some difficulty adjusting to a new suit, Kimberly swam to a third position in 50m breaststroke with a time of 36.50s behind Philippine and Thai swimmers.
Had Kimberly done her PB, she would have secured the gold medal easily.
During the Malaysia National Invitational Age Group Swimming Championship in April 2013, Kimberly swam 35.40s in her pet event to qualify herself to the SEAAG 2013.
Congratulations Kimberly Ong for her achievement in SEA Age Group.
