Congratulations to both Steve Khiew and Sebastian Soon as their first debut in Sukan Malaysia in SUKMA XIX Perak 2018 has earned them silvers on day 1, 17 September, 2018.

Steve Khiew's 2nd placing came in 50m backstroke as he hit a new PB of 27.26 in the afternoon final. In the morning preliminary qualifying heats, he also swam an earlier best time of 26.57 to be seeded first.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Soon swam to a faster time of 4:30.79 to a new PB but has to settle for silver in 400m IM event as he finished slightly behind Tia'a Faang Der (Johor) who broke the national as well as meet record with 4:30.48
