IBSC facilitated swim camp for Xiamen University swimmers

Students from Xiamen University Swim Club had an awesome outing last Sunday 20 Oct 2019, when they had a swim camp at Cheras pool, which was conducted on a complimentary basis by IBSC coaches.

The camp also included a day of training the day before on 19 Oct 2019 at Xiamen University pool in Sepang, where IBSC coaches introduced stroke drills, land exercise and swimming rules.

Swimmers ranging from beginners and intermediate levels have some good swimming and dry land sessions under the tutelage of Coach Shazali and Coach Kamal. They were also assisted by some IBSC senior swimmers.

Congratulations to all the winners, those who improved their personal best timings (PBs) and those who had put their best efforts. Thank you to Team Manager Mr Ho Seng Onn, Assistant Team Manager Mr Farouq Affandi, chaperones Ms Yen Ling and Puan Zaszima in coordinating our team.

Much gratitude to coaches who attended and guide our swimmers during the meet - Coach Shazali, Coach Kamarudin, Coach Daniel Lee and Coach Tan Ei Ling. As well as meet officials, IBSC admin members, swimmers' parents and families, for without their support, we may not have a wonderful team to assemble in the first place.

In terms of points collection, IBSC points are also impressive as we are first runner-up with 709 points.

While Steve Khiew collected top 60 points for the club with 4 gold (3 meet records) and 1 silver, Muhd Dhuha has clean sweep of 5 gold in all the events he took part with 3 new meet records.
