IBSC facilitated swim camp for Xiamen University swimmers

Students from Xiamen University Swim Club had an awesome outing last Sunday 20 Oct 2019, when they had a swim camp at Cheras pool, which was conducted on a complimentary basis by IBSC coaches.

The camp also included a day of training the day before on 19 Oct 2019 at Xiamen University pool in Sepang, where IBSC coaches introduced stroke drills, land exercise and swimming rules.

Swimmers ranging from beginners and intermediate levels have some good swimming and dry land sessions under the tutelage of Coach Shazali and Coach Kamal. They were also assisted by some IBSC senior swimmers.

Chennai swimmers had a splashing swim camp with IBSC

A dozen of Chennai swimmers have joined IBSC for a joint swim training camp recently in KL and they have heaps of experience practicing together with IB swimmers.

The team from Velammal International School was led by Coach R. Vijay arrived in Kuala Lumpur on 15 May 2017 and wasted no time as they immediately joined our swim team in training the very next day. They were Vinayek, Sivasubramanian, Rajaeswara, Udhistran, Sankar and Kishore.

The training was somewhat different accordingly to our guest swimmers who were on summer holidays mode and was tough in the initial first week as they accustomed themselves to more endurance training heightened further with the impact of gym and land exercises.

In the course of the one month camp, they also have the opportunities not only to make new friends at the pool but also visited some interesting attractions K.L has to offer.

IBSC would be pleased to host them again in the near future when they return during the holidays.

Ikan Bilises facilitated Level 1 Coaching Program of ASUM

The little Ikan Bilises from IBSC have quite a different experience last week during their training sessions at Cheras pool as they were assigned as trainees for the ASUM practical training under the Level 1 Coaching program organised by Amateur Swimming Union of Malaysia (ASUM).

The junior swimmers were assigned to 5 group of coaches where they undertook swim training by following programs designed by the trainee coaches. The practical sessions were held for 3 evening sessions at the pool and assessed by the swim gurus, Mr Chee Pao Kam and Mr Andrew Oon.

The kids have had exhilarating practices in and out of water with the group of coaches with very unique cluster names. IBSC is glad to be able to assist ASUM in carrying out the practical training sessions smoothly.
