PRAKL incentivised KL swimmers for their MIAG 2017 achievements

The KL Swim Team was a happy bunch of swimmers as they attended an Incentive Presentation and tea function organised by the Kuala Lumpur  Amateur Swimming Association (PRAKL) at the International Youth Centre, Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

As a token of appreciation of the KL Swim Team's united and concerted effort in winning the 53rd Malaysia Invitational Age Group Swimming Championship (MIAG) 2017 a fortnight ago, in Melaka, the Swim Committee of PRAKL has crafted a cash incentive to reward medalists and record breakers.

In her speech, Mae Chen, as the Honorary Secretary of PRAKL, thanked the swimmers for their hard work, parents for the undying support, team managers and chaperone for their dedication in looking after the team and not forgetting the other committee members who have been contributing voluntarily on a pro-bono basis, all for the success of KL swimming.

The event was graced by the President of PRAKL, Mr Teo Mua Seng. Also present were the Vice President, Ar. Chris Yap and PRAKL's Swim Chair, Mr Tony Chuah.

They presented the cash envelopes to excited swimmers witnessed by their peers and proud parents. The dedicated KL  coaches, Coach Zhang Hongbo, Coach Shazali Salleh and Coach Daniel Lim also received their due recognition.

CONGRATULATIONS TEAM KUALA LUMPUR!

Results of 53rd Malaysia Invitational Age Group Swimming Championships 2017

See Full Results (Open) of MIAG 2017.

Team Kuala Lumpur is the MIAG 2017 Champion Team!

The 53rd Malaysia Invitational Swimming Championships 2017 has just ended this afternoon in Hang Jebat Aquatic Centre, Malacca after a 4-day stiff competition.

This year, Team Kuala Lumpur did excellently well compared to the past years as swimmers scooped up golds after golds each day to help the team to be poised on top, eventually ending a champion drought for the last one decade. The team doubled the number of gold achieved last year with 40 gold in hand to narrowly win the championship.

The team, with 60 swimmers, could have done even better if not for some unexpected slip of gold in certain events. But overall, the whole KL squad is high in spirit as motivation from coaches, peers, parents and support teams all poured in overwhelmingly to uplift the morale and energy of the team.

We congratulate all winners, medalists who broke records, swimmers who shed PBs and all those who have supported the team from various angles, near and far!

Thanks to coaches, team managers, chaperones and volunteers for the hard work and dedicated support. Also our appreciation to our sponsors MADWAVE, CS Foundation, ARENA and Under Armour Singapore for believing in us!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Keep logging on for official results soon!
