Dear IBSC swimmers and parents,
We appreciate the attendance of swimmers at IBSC's Team Briefing for Junior
Splash Leg 1 2019.
Just to recap the important points:
Test Pool & Warm-Up Time
The pool sessions are as follows:
19 to 21 July 2019 : Warm-up 6.45 am. - 7.45 am.
Session Reports
The competition starts at 8:00 am.
The tentative session reports are :
Scratching/Withdrawal
of Events
If you wish to scratch any events, please inform the Team Manager immediately
or latest by 12pm, 18 July 2019 (Thursday). Events not scratched or not
swum (NS/DNS) may prevent swimmers from continuing in subsequent events.
Team Attire for Swimmers & Parents
The team attire will be as follows:
19 July 2019 (Fri) : Pink/Navy blue jercey and shorts
20 July 2019 (Sat) : Yellow Tee and any black shorts
21 July 2019 (Sun) : Lime green/black thighs
If you do not have any
of the above t-shirts, you may still purchase them in IBSC office (while stock
last) or wear any IBSC T-shirts or similar colour tees.
Swim Wears
Swimmers are advised to wear swimming suits/jammers/trunks approved by FINA
only. No swim wears should extend below the knees.
Swimmers are advised to bring extra swimsuits, goggles and caps on standby. Do
change the wet suits after each race to keep your body dry and warm.
Seating
IBSC swimmers and supporters are advised to camp together as a team for ease of
communication and food distribution. The IBSC camp will be marked with IBSC
flag banners.
Meals and Refreshments
Snacks and lunch meal will be provided by IBSC to the swimmers. If parents
would like to buy additional lunch meal, please contact Vincent Low at
012-7223733.
Please bring your own supply of drinking water.
Group Photography
Group photography will be done during lunch break. Don't miss out the
opportunity.
Logistic and Pool
Location
Swimmers are to make their own way to the pool at National Akuatik Bukit Jalil,
Kuala Lumpur Sports City.
Please use public
transport to the stadium or park at public parking D or E.
Discipline
Good sportsmanship is vital. The EXCO expects all swimmers to carry the good
name of IBSC during the swim meet. All swimmers are to respect each other
including your competing peers and adhere to the rules and regulations of the
meet and instructions of the Team Managers/officials and coaches.
Please also be reminded that the diving platforms and springboards are out of
bounds. Do not be playful around the pool deck or marshal area to avoid any
untoward incidents. Any delinquent swimmer can be subject to disciplinary
action.
School Leave Letter
If required, please get from office or Team Manager.
